Illness Treatment Notes
Asthma   Contra- indication for treatment with beta-blockers
Multiple Sclerosis, first diagnosed in 1982, but at least one doctor has subsequently refused to confirm the diagnosis to the Multiple Sclerosis Society Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH) injections.  Superseded by No warning of side effects (other than slight weight gain) or monitoring
Prednisolone 20 mg a day for six months. No monitoring.  Side effects of prolonged treatment included agoraphobia.  NHS acknowledged inadequate advice, monitoring and treatment.
Propranolol for tremors.  Superseded by Treatment with these beta blockers persisted for seven years without regular monitoring.  Complaint about neglect led to removal from GP list and brutal withdrawal of treatment.
Atenolol 100 mg for breathing problems and high blood pressure resulting from propranolol
Agoraphobia   Developed after prednisolone treatment
Hepatitis
Pulmonary hypertension
High blood pressure
Cushing’s Syndrome.  High cortisol as a result has damaged every organ in the body: the brain shrinks, the thymus gland atrophies, there are cardiovascular derangements.   Caused by a tumour that the beta blockers had suppressed.  See photograph [pdf].
Oedema.  The eyelids are swollen, with periorbital oedema, massive fluid retention which has worsened.  Also pulmonary oedema.
Diabetes   Not monitored or comprehensively tested.  Malnourished.
Osteoporosis leading to collapse of the spine
Gynaecological disease
Chronic obstructive airways disease
Heart murmur
Severe congestive heart failure
Mitral stenosis heart valve disease   A tooth abscess left untreated late in 2005 can damage the heart valve.
Hypoxia
2 ECGs done at home.  One disappeared.  The other shows P pulmonale damage to the right side of the heart from lung disease.
Numerous abnormal blood tests showing serious kidney disease which doctors have not yet admitted, except one doctor stating, "Your kidneys are out of synch."   There has been a serious excess of protein in the urine for many years which has been neglected. Microalbuminuria is damage caused to the kidney by diabetes.
Systemic sepsis
Tooth Abscess   Needs admission to hospital
